A Zagros Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-83, registration EP-ZAK performing flight ZO-4013 from Tehran Mehrabad to Ahwaz (Iran), burst the left outboard main tyre on departure, stopped the climb at 7000 feet and returned to Tehran's Mehrabad Airport for a safe landing.

Passengers reported a smell of smoke developed in the cabin.
