A United Boeing 777-300, registration N2331U performing flight UA-535 from San Francisco,CA to Newark,NJ (USA), landed on Newark's runway 04R and taxied to the apron maintaining routine communication.

The FAA reported however that on landing in Newark an engine (GE90) ingested a bird and received damage.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground in Newark for about 36 hours before returning to service.
