A Latam Argentina Airbus A320-200, registration LV-BSJ performing flight 4M-7570 from Buenos Aires Aeroparque,BA to Rio Hondo,SE (Argentina), was climbing through 3000 feet out of Aeropaeque when the aircraft encountered hail. The aircraft continued to Rio Hondo for a safe landing.

The aircraft was unable to continue its schedule and is still on the ground about 8 hours after landing.

On Sep 8th 2017 Argentina's JIAAC reported the aircraft encountered the hail while climbing through 3000 feet about 10nm out of Aeroparque. The minor damage by the hail strike did not affect the ability of the aircraft to continue the flight. The occurrence was rated an incident and is being investigated.
