A Delta Airlines Boeing 757-200, registration N6700 performing flight DL-2785 from New York JFK,NY to Salt Lake City,UT (USA), was on final approach to Salt Lake City's runway 16L already in contact with tower when descending through 6000 feet the crew reported a number of birds, everything looked normal. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 16L about 2 minutes later.

The FAA reported the aircraft sustained minor damage to the right hand engine (PW2037).
