The aircraft was repaired and was able to depart again after about 2:20 hours on the ground and reached Frankfurt with a delay of 3:20 hours.
A passenger reported the captain announced a gear problem after departure, the aircraft dumped fuel and returned to Cape Town. Maintenance repaired the aircraft and they departed again.
