An Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 777-300, registration ET-APY performing flight ET-605 from Beijing (China) to Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) with 335 passengers and 12 crew, was enroute at FL340 about 210nm northwest of Lahore (Pakistan) when the crew detected indications raising the suspicion of a fuel leak. The crew decided to divert to Lahore and landed safely on runway 36R about 35 minutes later.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Lahore about 17 hours after landing.

The airline dispatched another Boeing 777-300 registration ET-ASK from Addis Ababa to Lahore as flight ET-9201 taking spare parts and maintenance personnel to Lahore, the aircraft is estimated to continue flight ET-605.
