A Thomas Cook Airbus A321-200, registration G-TCDV performing flight MT-1267 from Las Palmas,CI (Spain) to East Midlands,EN (UK) with 199 people on board, was enroute at FL330 about 270nm westsouthwest of Porto (Portugal) over the Atlantic Ocean when the crew received a wheel well fire indication. The aircraft performed a rapid descent to FL150 and diverted to Porto for a safe landing on runway 35 abou 47 minutes later. The passengers disembarked normally.
