A Qantas Airbus A380-800, registration VH-OQI performing flight QF-1 from Sydney,NS (Australia) to Dubai (United Arab Emirates), was climbing through FL300 out of Sydney when the crew stopped the climb and decided to return to Sydney due to an indication, the cabin temperature control wasn't working properly. The aircraft descended to 10,000 feet, dumped fuel and landed safely back on Sydney's runway 16R about 3 hours after departure.

The flight was postponed to the next day and is estimated to operate with a delay of 17.5 hours, the onward rotation to London Heathrow,EN (UK) was cancelled.

The airline reported a cockpit indicator light advising of a fault with the cabin temperature regulation.
