Tower subsequently cleared an Air Transat Airbus A310-300 registration C-GFAT performing flight TS-182 from Toronto,ON (Canada) to Varadero (Cuba), for takeoff from runway 24R.
The Canadian TSB reported: when tower observed the Embraer taxiing past the hold short line of runway 24R, tower cancelled the takeoff clearance for the A310. The Air Transat crew stopped their aircraft, tower instructed the Embraer to continue crossing the runway.
The A310 was able to depart a few minutes later and reached Varadero on schedule.
