A Lufthansa Embraer ERJ-190, registration D-AECA performing flight LH-926 from Frankfurt/Main (Germany) to London City,EN (UK), was on final approach to London City Airport's runway 27 when the crew went around from about 1400 feet MSL reporting a flap control computer issue. The aircraft subsequently diverted to London's Southend Airport for a safe landing on runway 06 about 22 minutes after going around.

The return flight LH-927 as well as the next rotation LH-034/LH-935 scheduled for D-AECA were cancelled.

The occurrence aircraft was able to depart Southend after 30 hours, positioned to Frankfurt and resumed service.
