NAV Canada reported tower observed the aircraft broke two runway edge lights, the crew reported they had lost nose wheel steering.
The Canadian TSB reported the captain was unable to maintain directional control despite full left rudder, the aircraft veered to the right and struck two runway edge lights before returning to the runway center line. Winds 8 minutes after the occurrence were reported from 020 degrees true at 19 knots gusting 29 knots. Debris from the edge lights as well as the lights needed to be removed from the runway. Company maintenance found both right main gear tyres as well as 5 blades of the right hand propeller damaged, the landing gear assembly and brakes were examined and found without fault. The tyres were replaced and the aircraft ferried to Calgary for propeller repair.
