Lufthansa A346 at Frankfurt on Apr 18th 2015, could not fully retract landing gear

A Lufthansa Airbus A340-600, registration D-AIHU performing flight LH-600 from Frankfurt/Main (Germany) to Tehran Imam Khomeini (Iran), was climbing out of Frankfurt's runway 07C when the crew stopped the climb at FL100 reporting they could not fully retract the landing gear. The aircraft subsequently climbed to FL140 to dump fuel and returned to Frankfurt for a safe landing on runway 07C about 50 minutes after departure.

A passenger reported the crew attempted to retract the landing gear three times then announced they had not been able to retract the landing gear and they were returning to Frankfurt. The aircraft dumped fuel.

A replacement Airbus A340-300 registration D-AIFC reached Tehran with a delay of 4:45 hours.
