A Qatar Airways Airbus A320-200, registration A7-AHX performing flight QR-261 from Doha (Qatar) to Warsaw (Poland), was climbing out of Doha about 10 minutes after departure when the aircraft encountered turbulence causing minor injuries to a flight attendant. The aircraft continued to Warsaw, but needed to go around from low height (about 700 feet MSL) while on final approach to Warsaw's runway 11. The aircraft positioned for another approach to runway 11 and landed safely. The injured flight attendant received medical assistance at the airport.

The airline confirmed that the aircraft encountered moderate turbulence while climbing out of Doha causing a slight shoulder bruise to a flight attendant and added that the passengers' nerves were tested a second time when the aircraft needed to go around on final approach to Warsaw, but denied a journalist's report travelling as passenger.

The journalist reported the aircraft had just flown through "another aircraft's jet stream. Most of the cabin crew are injured, 2 seriously". The occurrence happened about 10 minutes into the flight causing a wild maneouver with the aircraft doing a sharp turn to the right and falling for about 5-7 seconds to avoid collision with the other aircraft, two flight attendants received serious injuries, one of them being in pain and unable to continue duties.

The airline stated that they are not aware of any second aircraft's involvement in the turbulence encounter and re-iterated that only one flight attendant sustained a minor shoulder bruise.

Radar data do not show any anomaly, like a descent/reduction climb or sharp right hand turn and deviation from flight path, except the go-around at Warsaw.

The aircraft departed for the return flight from Warsaw on schedule.
