A Euro Atlantic Airways Boeing 767-300 on behalf of TAP Air Portugal, registration CS-TFS performing flight TP-2794 from Budapest (Hungary) to Lisbon (Portugal) with 293 people on board, was climbing out of Budapest's runway 13R when the crew reported problems with the left hand engine (PW4060) and levelled off at FL260. The aircraft returned to Budapest for a safe landing on Budapest's runway 13R about 30 minutes after departure.

The passengers were taken to hotels.

Mechanics determined the engine indication was false and released the aircraft, which departed Budapest with a delay of 21.5 hours in the afternoon of the following day.
