A TAM Linhas Aereas Airbus A320-200, registration PR-MBH performing flight PZ-708 from Asuncion (Paraguay) to Santiago (Chile), was climbing out of Asuncion's runway 02 when the crew stopped the climb at 4000, joined the downwind and returned to Asuncion for a safe landing on runway 02 about 10 minutes after departure.

A passenger reported the captain announced they returned due to a cargo door indication, it would take about two hours to fix the problem. Maintenance managed to repair the fault within an hour however, the aircraft was able to depart again.

The aircraft reached Santiago with a delay of 2 hours.
