The aircraft landed safely on Venice's runway 04R about 30 minutes after leaving FL320.

A passenger reported about 20 minutes before landing in Venice the flight crew announced they were diverting to Venice due to a problem with the aircraft de-icing systems. According to communication to the passengers after landing, a reset of the de-icing system should have been attempted but could not be done because no qualified technician to work the aircraft was available in Venice.

The airline reported on Dec 1st 2023 a wing de-icing system had suffered a defect prompting the diversion to Venice. The passengers were able to continue their journey to Geneva the following day. The defect was resolved in the meantime and the aircraft returned to service.
