An Air Canada Airbus A319-100, registration C-GBIA performing flight AC-235 from Edmonton,AB to Vancouver,BC (Canada) with 114 passengers and 5 crew, was enroute at FL360 about 140nm eastnortheast of Vancouver when the crew initiated a rapid descent to 12,000 feet. The aircraft continued to Vancouver for a safe landing on runway 08L about 33 minutes after leaving FL360.

The airline reported the crew received a pressurization indication and descended to a lower altitude as a precaution, the passenger oxygen masks did not deploy.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Vancouver about 30.5 hours after landing.

On Dec 27th 2023 the Canadian TSB reported maintenance replaced the RAM Air Outlet Actuator for the #1 air conditioning pack.
