An Air France Airbus A330-200, registration F-GZCA performing flight AF-912 from Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) to Yaounde (Cameroon), was climbing out of Paris' runway 26R when the crew stopped the climb at about FL165 reporting the smell of smoke, electrical in nature, in the cockpit. The aircraft returned to Paris for a safe landing on CDG's runway 26R about 30 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 777-200 registration F-GSPN reached Younde with a delay of 24 hours.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 21 hours after landing back.
