An Easyjet Europe Airbus A320-200, registration OE-IND performing flight U2-3536 from Catania to Milan Malpensa (Italy), was climbing out of Catania's runway 08 when the crew stopped the climb at 6000 feet and returned to Catania for a safe landing on runway 08 about 35 minutes after departure.

A replacement A320-200 registration OE-INO reached Milan with a delay of about 8 hours.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 31 hours after landing back.
