An Air Canada Boeing 777-300, registration C-FNNU performing flight AC-90 from Sao Paulo Guarulhos,SP (Brazil) to Buenos Aires Ezeiza,BA (Argentina), was on final approach to Ezeiza's runway 11 when the crew initiated a go around at about 1200 feet MSL due to weather conditions. The aircraft subsequently climbed to FL280 and diverted to Rosario,SF (Argentina) for a safe landing on runway 20 about 50 minutes after the go around.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Rosario with visible hail damage to its radome until Dec 9th 2022 before positioning to Hamilton,ON (Canada). The aircraft has not yet resumed service on Dec 11th 2022 14:15Z.

The airport reported the aircraft went through a storm zone with very large hail, which caused damage to its structure.

Argentina's JST rated the occurrence an incident and opened an investigation into the occurrence.
