A Lufthansa Cityline Canadair CRJ-900, registration D-ACNB performing flight LH-1372 from Frankfurt/Main (Germany) to Wroclaw (Poland), was descending towards Wroclaw when the crew stopped the descent at FL100 reporting they had a spoiler problem and needed a longer runway. The crew decided to divert to Warsaw, climbed to FL130 and landed safely on runway 15 about 45 minutes after aborting the approach to Wroclaw.

A passenger reported the aircraft had already been swapped before departure and was delayed by about 90 minutes as a result. The crew announced they needed to divert to Warsaw due to problems with the brakes (the passenger said, it remained unclear in the context whether the wheel brakes or speed brakes), on landing in Warsaw they were told to assume the brace position.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for about 15 hours, then positioned back to Frankfurt/Main and remained on the ground in Frankfurt for another 31 hours before returning to service.
