A Skywest Canadair CRJ-200 on behalf of Delta Airlines, registration N447SW performing flight DL-4240 from Fort Wayne,IN to Minneapolis,MN (USA), was enroute at FL300 about 80nm east of La Crosse,WI (USA) when the crew initiated an emergency descent to 10,000 feet due to the loss of cabin pressure. The aircraft diverted to La Crosse for a safe landing about 20 minutes later.

A replacement CRJ-200 registration N506CA reached Minneapolis with a delay of 3 hours.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in La Crosse about 53 hours after landing.
