A Flybondi Boeing 737-800, registration LV-HQY performing flight FO-5270 from Buenos Aires Palomar,BA to Bariloche,RN (Argentina) with 169 people on board, was in the initial climb out of Palomar's runway 35 when the crew stopped the climb at about 3500 feet and descended to 3000 feet due to an overheating engine (CFM56). The aircraft diverted to Buenos Aires' Ezeiza International Airport for a safe landing on runway 11 about 20 minutes after departure.

Argentina's JIAAC advised their headquarters are involved.

The airline reported the crew received indication of an overtemperature for one of the engines.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service on Feb 8th 2020 after exactly 6 days on the ground.

The JIAAC later reported the right hand engine's overtemperature indication illuminated prompting the crew to shut the engine down and perform an emergency landing.
