A Flybe de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration G-JECY performing flight BE-890 from Southampton,EN to Glasgow,SC (UK), was climbing out of Southampton's runway 02 when the crew stopped the climb at FL070 due to being unable to retract the landing gear. The aircraft returned to Southampton for a safe landing on runway 02 about 35 minutes after departure.

A replacement Dash 8-400 registration G-JECR reached Glasgow with a delay of 2 hours.
