The airline reported an electronic cigarette in a passenger's luggage caught fire causing the cargo smoke indication.
The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for about 23.5 hours, then positioned back to Sabiha Gokcen but has not yet resumed service about 33 hours after landing in Zagreb.
On Dec 2nd 2019 the US NTSB reported one occupant of the aircraft received minor injuries. The AIN of Croatia is investigating the occurrence, the NTSB joined the investigation representing the state of manufacture of the aircraft.
Croatia's AIN reported the electronic cigarette of a passenger exploded, the fire was extinguished immediately thereafter. A passenger received minor injuries (burns to a finger), the aircraft sustained minor damage.
