A TAROM Boeing 737-700, registration YR-BGG performing flight RO-316 from Munich (Germany) to Sibiu (Romania), was enroute at FL350 when upon being handed off to Budapest Center at 11:18L (09:18Z) radio contact was lost with the aircraft. Hungary dispatched military aircraft (Gripen) to intercept the Boeing and established communication with the crew at 11:36L (09:36Z), the crew subsequently reported on Budapest Center Frequency (133.200MHz) at 11:38L (09:38Z) after hand off to Budapest. The crew complained nobody was talking to them on frequency 132.350MHz, they were receiving all the time but nobody talked to them. The aircraft continued to Sibiu for a safe landing.

The airline reported a communication error between ground and aircraft caused the aircraft to lose communication over Hungary.
