A passenger reported there was a big bang but no visible streaks of flame from the engine. The aircraft returned to the apron, where passengers were requested to remain on board while an engine was being examined. The aircraft was able to depart about 100 minutes later.
The occurrence aircraft became airborne about 2.5 hours after the rejected takeoff, reached Guayaquil with a delay of 2.5 hours and the ultimate destination Amsterdam with a delay of 2:20 hours.
