Korean B773 near Manila on Feb 28th 2017, smell of smoke in cabin

A Korean Airlines Boeing 777-300, registration HL8209 performing flight KE-644 from Singapore (Singapore) to Seoul (South Korea) with 285 passengers, was enroute at FL360 about 130nm northwest of Manila (Philippines) when the crew reported smell of smoke in the cabin and diverted to Manila for a safe landing on runway 06 about 25 minutes after leaving FL360. Emergency services found no trace of fire, heat or smoke.

An inflight entertainment system in seat row 14 was identified as source of the odour.

The occurrence aircraft was able to depart Manila after about 4.5 hours again and reached Seoul with a total delay of 5 hours.
