A Sprintair Saab 340A, registration SP-KPO performing flight P8-564 from Warsaw (Poland) to Riga (Latvia) with 2 crew, was climbing out of Warsaw about 8-10 minutes into the flight when the crew received fault indications for the electric systems and in detail for the right hand essential and the right hand main bus. Several instruments and equipment went blank. The crew worked the related checklists and returned to Warsaw. The crew performed a low approach to Warsaw being uncertain about the gear position and performed a safe landing about 35 minutes after the decision to return.

Poland's PKBWL reported the occurrence was caused by a malfunction of the circuit breaker S7 "R-ESS/R-MAIN".

The aircraft had encountered a similiar occurrence 3 days earlier, see Incident: Sprint SF34 at Warsaw on Jun 10th 2016, electrical problem with essential bus.
