A Caribbean Airlines Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, registration 9Y-TTD performing flight BW-1541 from Tobago to Port of Spain (Trinidad and Tobago), was final approach to runway 10 when the crew received a fire indication for the left hand engine (PW127). The crew continued for a safe landing on runway 10. Emergency services did not find any trace of fire.

It emerged that the #1 engine high pressure bleed valve had been leaking.
