Canada A320 at Vancouver on Nov 18th 2016, rejected takeoff due to control problem

An Air Canada Airbus A320-200, registration C-FDRP performing flight AC-222 from Vancouver,BC to Calgary,AB (Canada) with 155 people on board, was accelerating for takeoff when the crew rejected takeoff at low speed (50 KIAS) due to an ECAM message "F/CTL AIL Servo Fault". The crew declared PAN, slowed the aircraft safely and taxied the aircraft to the apron with emergency services in attendance.

A replacement A320-200 registration C-FKOJ reached Calgary with a delay of 2 hours.

The Canadian TSB reported that maintenance replaced both side sticks and returned the aircraft to service.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for about 15 hours before resuming service.
