A passenger reported the captain announced the landing gear could not be retracted due to a mechanical defect, they were returning to Vienna. Passengers to the United States were rebooked onto OS-65 from Vienna to Chicago, however, that aircraft suffered problems with the fueling and was already almost 3 hours late when the crew indicated that fueling was now in progress. Editorial remark: The Boeing 767-300 registration OE-LAE departed Vienna for OS-65 with a delay of 3 hours and is estimated to reach Chicago with a delay of 2:45 hours.
