A Wizzair Airbus A320-200, registration HA-LWF performing flight W6-2927 from Ljubljana (Slovenia) to Brussels Charleroi (Belgium), was enroute at FL350 about 20nm south of Munich (Germany) when the crew decided to turn east and divert to Budapest (Hungary), where the aircraft landed safely on runway 31R about 55 minutes later.

A replacement Airbus A320-200 registration HA-LYU reached Charleroi with a delay of 2.5 hours.

A passenger reported the crew indicated they were diverting to Budapest due to a lightning strike received earlier.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Budapest 11 hours after landing.
