A PIA Pakistan International Airlines Airbus A310-300, registration AP-BGP performing flight PK-300 from Karachi to Islamabad (Pakistan), was climbing through FL300 when the crew initiated a descent to FL200 due to problems with the cabin pressure, subsequently descending the aircraft to 8,000 feet. The aircraft returned to Karachi for a safe landing about 50 minutes after departure.

A replacement Airbus A310-300 registration AP-BGR reached Islamabad with a delay of 3:15 hours.

A passenger reported ear pain so bad, that the eyes filled with tears.
