A Transavia Boeing 737-800, registration PH-HZJ performing flight HV-5021 from Rotterdam (Netherlands) to Malaga,SP (Spain), departed Rotterdam's runway 06 and was climbing out when the crew stopped the climb at FL250 already in Belgian Airspace and decided to divert to Amsterdam advising ATC, that no assistance was needed, following a bird strike on departure an engine (CFM56) had developed vibrations. The aircraft landed safely on Amsterdam's runway 18R about 35 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration PH-GGY reached Malaga with a delay of 2:40 hours.

The airline confirmed a bird was ingested by one of the engines, the damage is being assessed.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Amsterdam about 12 hours after landing.
