PSA CRJ7 at Albany on Aug 10th 2016, smoke in the cabin

A PSA Airlines Canadair CRJ-700 on behalf of American Airlines, registration N719PS performing flight AA-5446 from Washington National,DC to Albany,NY (USA) with 35 passengers and 4 crew, was on final approach to Albany's runway 19 already cleared to land when the crew declared Mayday reporting smoke in the cabin and requested ATC to send the trucks. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 19 about 3 minutes later, vacated the runway and evacuated onto the adjacent taxiway.

The airport reported there was no fire, however, it is believed a light fixture at the rear passenger cabin was the source of the smoke. The airport was closed for about 20 minutes as result of the occurrence.
