A Vueling Airbus A320-200, registration EC-JGM performing flight VY-8306 from Barcelona,SP (Spain) to Amsterdam (Netherlands), was in the initial climb out of Barcelona's runway 25L when the crew stopped the climb at 5000 feet reporting a hydraulic failure. The aircraft returned to Barcelona for a safe landing on runway 25R about 30 minutes after departure and vacated the runway via the last high speed turn off stopping past the hold short line. The aircraft was towed to the apron.

A passenger on another flight reported their captain indicated that the Vueling flight had lost a hydraulic system and nose wheel steering and became disabled.

The occurrence aircraft resumed service after about 23 hours on the ground.
