A Ryanair Boeing 737-800, registration EI-DYX performing flight FR-3131 from London Stansted,EN (UK) to Paphos (Cyprus), was enroute at FL350 about 20nm southeast of Brussels (Belgium) when the crew received a wheel well fire indication and decided to divert to Brussels Zaventem Airport. While working the related checklists the wheel well fire indication ceased. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Zaventem's runway 25L about 21 minutes after leaving FL350 and taxied to the apron.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration EI-DPC reached Paphos with a delay of 5 hours.

On Jul 25th 2016 the airline submitted following statement: "This flight from London Stansted to Paphos (24 July) diverted to Brussels as a precaution after a cockpit warning light indicated a possible technical issue in the wheel well. The aircraft landed normally and customers were switched to a replacement aircraft which departed to Paphos. Ryanair apologised sincerely to customers affected by the 5 hour delay in Brussels."
