A Ryanair Boeing 737-800, registration EI-DCI performing flight FR-3100 from Dublin (Ireland) to Amsterdam (Netherlands), landed on Amsterdam's runway 06 when after touchdown tower reported seeing a lot of smoke, the crew assumed it was a brakes problem. The aircraft slowed and vacated the runway. A ground control vehicle nearby radioed ground that the Ryanair taxiing past him had a blown #1 tyre (outboard left hand main tyre) and the wheel looked damaged, they doubted the aircraft would be able to continue taxi. The aircraft became disabled on the parallel taxiway. The ground vehicle spotted debris on the runway, which was soon collected, before the next arrival landed.

The passengers disembarked onto the taxiway via stairs and were bussed to the terminal.

The occurrence aircraft resumed service after abou 11.5 hours on the ground.
