A TUI Airlines Nederland (former Arkefly) Boeing 737-800, registration PH-TFC performing flight OR-410 from Dubai Al Maktoum (United Arab Emirates) to Bourgas (Bulgaria) and further to Amsterdam (Netherlands), climbed out of Dubai Al Maktoum Airport's runway 30 when the crew stopped the climb at FL180 due to a flaps problem. The aircraft returned to Al Maktoum Airport for a safe landing on runway 30 at a slightly higher speed than normal about 35 minutes after departure.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Dubai about 58 hours after landing back.

Passengers are tweeting the airline on Monday Jun 6th 2016, two days later, that they still have no information about how they'd get back to Amsterdam.

The airline reported that due to Ramadan communication to Dubai proved difficult and the entire rythm had changed. The passengers have now been rebooked onto an Emirates flight from Dubai to Amsterdam departing Dubai at 18:00L on Monday Jun 6th 2016.

There is no evidence of an Emirates flight departing Dubai at 18:00L, a passenger tweeted even past that time from Dubai. A KLM Boeing 777-200 departed Dubai around midnight Monday to Tuesday local time.

The airline subsequently posted that the passenger have been booked onto flight EK-149 departing Dubai on Jun 7th 2016 arriving in Amsterdam at 20:00L. The airline said the aircraft would depart 18:00L, however, scheduled departure time is 14:55L with arrival at 20:00L.
