An Olympic Air de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration SX-OBD performing flight OA-146 from Athens to Alexandroupolis (Greece), was descending towards Alexandroupolis when the crew needed to shut an engine (PW150A) down. The aircraft continued for a safe landing in Alexandroupolis about 15 minutes later.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 25 hours, then performed the next day's return flight OA-147.
