British Airways B772 over Hungary on Apr 30th 2016, loss of communication prompted intercept by fighter aircraft

A British Airways Boeing 777-200, registration G-YMMO performing flight BA-108 from Dubai (United Arab Emirates) to London Heathrow,EN (UK), was enroute at FL400 about 130nm eastsoutheast of Budapest (Hungary) about to cross from Romania's to Hungary's Airspace when contact with Air Traffic Control was lost prompting Hungarian Authorities to dispatch two Saab Gripen fighter aircraft to intercept the Boeing. Soon after radio contact with the crew was restored and the fighter aircraft returned to their base landing at the base 26 minutes after departure. The Boeing 777-200 continued to London for a landing without further incident about 2:20 hours later.

The airline reported the crew lost contact with Hungary's ATC for so far unknown reasons, contact was quickly restored however.
