An Air Canada Airbus A320-200, registration C-FTJR performing flight AC-188 (dep Feb 9th) from Vancouver,BC to Ottawa,ON (Canada) with 101 people on board, was enroute at FL370 about 110nm northwest of Toronto,ON (Canada) when the crew decided to divert to Toronto after receiving intermittent left hand engine (CFM56) fire warnings. The aircraft landed safely in Toronto about 25 minutes later.

The Canadian TSB reported that maintenance replaced the engine #1 fire loop connectors A and B.
