An Egypt Air Boeing 737-800, registration SU-GDZ performing flight MS-780 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Cairo (Egypt), was climbing out of London's Heathrow Airport when the crew stopped the climb at about FL190 and decided to return to London due to a problem with one of the aircraft doors. The aircraft landed safely back on Heathrow's runway 27R about 45 minutes after departure.

The flight was postponed to the next day, the passengers were taken to hotels.

The aircraft was able to depart again after 9 hours on the ground and reached Cairo as flight MS-1780 with a delay of 9.5 hours.
