A Cambodia Angkor Air Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, registration XU-235 performing flight K6-818 from Phnom Penh (Cambodia) to Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) with 21 passengers, landed on Ho Chi Minh City's runway 07R at about 17:40L (10:40Z) but veered right off the runway and came to a stop with all gear on soft ground. There were no injuries, the aircraft sustained minor if any damage.

The airline reported the aircraft landed in strong cross wind and was blown off the runway.

The runway was closed for about 2 hours as result of the occurrence.

Vietnam's Civil Aviation Authority (CAAV) opened an investigation into the occurrence.
