A Condor Boeing 767-300, registration D-ABUB performing flight DE-2237 from Panama City (Panama) to Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), was climbing out of Panama City when a strong odour occurred in cockpit and cabin. The flight crew decided to continue the flight, climbed the aircraft to FL350 and landed safely in Santo Domingo.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground in Santo Domingo for about 3 hours (scheduled 80 minutes), then continued to Frankfurt where the aircraft arrived without further incident.

The occurrence aircraft suffered another fumes event and air return at La Romana the next day, see Incident: Condor B763 at La Romana on Mar 5th 2016, strong odour on board.

On Mar 10th 2016 the BFU reported they are aware of the occurrence and are collecting data to decide about opening an investigation.
