An Austrian Airlines de Havilland Dash 8-400 on behalf of Swiss, registration OE-LGP performing flight LX-1193 from Nuremberg (Germany) to Zurich (Switzerland), was on final approach to Zurich's runway 28 when the crew went around reporting stuck flaps. The crew worked the related checklists, prepared the aircraft for a landing at a higher than normal speed and landed safely on runway 14, tower advised taxiways H1 and H2 were available, the taxiway at the end of runway was not available (aircraft holding for departure from runway 32). The aircraft landed without further incident about 30 minutes after going around, vacated the runway and taxied to the apron.

This was the first flight of the occurrence aircraft following its similiar occurrence 2 days earlier, see Incident: Austrian DH8D at Nuremberg on Jan 15th 2016, flaps problem. The aircraft had remained on the ground in Nuremberg for 49 hours.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Zurich for 44 hours following this occurrence, then resumed - and continued - service.
