A Sunwing Boeing 737-800, registration C-GOFW performing flight WG-592 from Regina,SK to Edmonton,AB (Canada) with 65 people on board, was taxiing for departure from runway 31 when flight service informed the crew that snow removal equipment was on the runway. Flight Service subsequently contacted the snow removal crew requesting them to vacate the runway and report when the runway was clear. In the meantime the Boeing reached runway 31, lined up and radioed they were commencing their takeoff run. Flight Service immediately advised the snow removal requipment was still on the runway and the crew rejected takeoff at low speed.

A short time later the snow removal team reported being clear of the runway, the Boeing returned to the holding point runway 31 and departed reaching Edmonton with a delay of 35 minutes.

The Canadian TSB reported the takeoff was rejected at a speed below 30 knots.
