An AirBaltic de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration YL-BBW performing flight BT-402 from Riga (Latvia) to Kiev (Ukraine), was enroute at FL250 about 70nm south of Riga when the crew decided to return to Riga reporting a problem with an oil pressure indication but advising aircraft operation was normal and no assistance was needed. The aircraft landed safely back in Riga about 45 minutes after departure.

A replacement Dash 8-400 registration YL-BBV reached Kiev with a delay of 2 hours.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground about 9 hours after landing back at Riga.
