An Avianca Airbus A320-200, registration N755AV performing flight AV-9418 from Pereira to Bogota (Colombia), was on final approach to Bogota's runway 13R when a vulture penetrated the radome of the aircraft and came to rest inside the radome. The aircraft continued for a safe landing.

The carcass of the vulture was recovered after the radome was removed from the aircraft. The aircraft returned to service the same day with a new radome.
